Cyber Love Story of the Week – Paula and Ken
May 29th
After being single for 15 years, Paula decided to join five online dating sites. When a friend suggested that she join a sixth site, SpiritualSingles.com, it seemed like too much work for her so she only posted her profile, and did not join their site.
Several months later, she received an unexpected email from a member of this sixth site. In order to respond to the interesting email, it required that she become a member. After paying $14.95, she had her first conversation with the letter writer, Ken. The conversation lasted two hours!
Ken had recently lost his wife of 42 years to cancer. After she passed away, he experienced a
“spiritual awakening.” He tried to date, but nothing clicked. Finally, with the support of his daughters, he joined SpiritualSingles.com. After the exciting phone call with Paula, he drove over 3 hours to meet her and showed up with a dozen red roses.
The two felt an immediate spiritual connection. Paula believes that being in the right place at the right time is crucial in life. Their relationship is filled with laughter, joy, study, and unconditional love.
Congratulations to Paula and Ken, our Cyber Love Story of the Week from your friends at CyberDatingExpert.com.
This proves that that being in the right place at the right time can lead to the happiness you deserve.

Plum Eyeliner – The Secret Agent in Your Makeup Bag
May 27th

The 007 of beauty, plum eyeliner, is close enough to dark brown to seem innocuous on, but definitely different enough for people to notice your eyes look even hotter than usual.
Eyes of any color are instantly flattered when framed by purple. Remember finger painting back in kindergarten? The blend of red and blue makes for a winning combination. The red in purple makes the green and gold hues in your eyes pop (not to mention makes those baby blues stand out), while the blue brightens the whites of your eyes. Urban Decay’s 24/7 eyeliner in 1999 ($16), is blendable and waterproof.
Also check out Smashbox Cosmetics where you will receive Free Shipping and Free Samples with every order.
Their JET SET waterproof eyeliner is an innovative gel-based waterproof liner which stays blendable for 60 seconds and then dries to a smudge-proof, budge-proof finish that lasts all day. JET SET is perfect for lining the inner rim of the eye or as a stay-put traditional liner. Glides on effortlessly with ARCED LINER BRUSH #21. Both of these eyeliners are guaranteed not to run down the side of your face by the end of your cyber-date.

Cyber Love Story of the Week – Kristin and Michael
May 22nd
Kristin was not looking for love online. She had a profile on MySpace and was just living her life happy in Knoxville, Tennessee. Michael, who lived in the same city, noticed Kristin’s photos on her profile, and sent her an email to start the dialog. The couple flirted through MySpace email for three weeks before they had their first date. She enjoyed their email correspondence so much that she secretly printed out copies of all their emails and gave it to Michael as a surprise gift.
The last thing they expected when they signed on to “the place for friends” was to find their best friend and partner for life. They couple eloped six months later in Central Park at Christmas Time. They found a rustic-looking gazebo near Columbus Circle and decided that was where they would tie the knot.
Congratulations to Kristin and Michael, our Cyber Love Story of the Week at CyberDatingExpert.com. This proves there are many benefits to social networking sites.

Greetings from New York
May 21st
I am enjoying the first week of my two week media trip to New York. I have made many new friends and have reunited with childhood and college friends through the magic of social networking on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
On Tuesday, I stopped by Lord & Taylor for Matt Titus and Tamsen Fadal’s Dating Boot Camp. The two are the authors of Why Hasn’t He Called?: New York’s Top Date Doctors Reveal How Guys Really Think and How to Get the Right One Interested and Why Hasn’t He Proposed?: Go from the First Date to Setting the Date
.
They entertained the crowd with a panel of high profile men who answered questions about love, relationships, and that confusing boy-girl thing. The couple will be featured guests on my radio show, “Ask the Cyber-Dating Expert” sometime this summer.
On Wednesday, I was interviewed by Crain’s New York Business. You can pick up a copy of the paper on June 8th.
Later that day, I appeared on Cosmolicious with Diana Falzone on Cosmo Radio, where I shared some secrets from my book, The Perils of Cyber-Dating. I hope you were listening as it was a fun and flirty show.
It seems that I spend most of my time watching Taxi TV, my latest companion going from uptown to downtown and from the east-side to the west-side. Of course, being out of town, one becomes digitally-challenged, and I’m constantly in search of negotiating a spot next to the AC outlet at the local Starbucks.
Next week will be another busy one with a few more media appearances including a visit to 98.7 KISS-FM, and then I will be attending the Writers Digest Conference prior to BookExpo America where I will be signing copies of my book on May 29,2009.
If you are in New York or are planning on attending BookExpo America, please give me a shout and follow me on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. I’d love to hear from you and will follow you back.

It’s Graduation Day at Penn
May 18th
It was a brisk, but uplifting day at the 253rd Commencement Celebration at the University of Pennsylvania where my 6’5″ nephew graduated from the School of Engineering. I came in for the festivities held at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.
With all of the doom and gloom in the air, when you have the opportunity to celebrate something special with your family, you get on a plane, a train, or a bus to be a part of creating these memories. Today was one of those days. Although there was an earthquake in Los Angeles, a shooting at the Beverly Center, and even sadly one of our guests showed up hours late to graduation dinner last night due to a pedestrian who jumped in front of a moving train, today’s festivities were filled with hope and joy.
The students from the class of 2009 and their guests were treated to a commencement where Eric F. Schmidt, CEO of Google, received an honorary Doctor of Science Degree and presented the commencement address. Schmidt told the crowd that “Information is power.” He commented in his speech that there are 1 billion transistors in our cell phones, and it costs less to make a transistor than to print a dot of a newspaper. The students, dressed in caps and gowns, also had their iPhones and BlackBerry’s in their hands and were tweeting away throughout the ceremony. It’s a different world, and according to Schmidt, and we are living in a Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter generation. He stated, “We had phone booths, you have cell phones.”
After lunch, we attended the School of Engineering and Applied Science undergraduate graduation ceremony. The Keynote speaker was the Mayor of Philadelphia, Michael Nutter. The Mayor reflected on how he tried several times as an undergraduate of Penn to be accepted to Wharton and kept getting turned down. It was a happy day for me and my extended family. Congratulations to all of the students in the Class of 2009 across the country. May all your dreams come true.
