“It took an Ithaca College Village to create a best-selling book” from the words of Ithaca College President, Tom Rochon. The IC on the Road tour arrived in Los Angeles, on February 26, 2009 with a cocktail reception at the Hilton Hotel in Universal City.

I arrived at the event with my publicist Valerie Allen (Park School of Communications, 1985) founder of Valerie Allen Public Relations to meet the new President, who also admitted that he met his wife in an online dating site.

With the help of Roger Chiocchi, class of 1976 who authored four books himself and who was my mentor throughout the publishing process; Rick Frishman, class of 1976, my publisher at Morgan James Publishing; and Valerie Allen, my publicist, we were able to create a best-selling book with The Perils of Cyber-Dating: Confessions of a Hopeful Romantic Looking for Love Online in less than one year.

Thank you to the alumni association at Ithaca College for your support and for the strength of the alumni of this fabulous educational institution, in my case, thirty years later.
