Jeff had just returned home from college and had successfully lost almost 100 pounds when he put his online dating profile up on JDate?.com. Coincidentally, Paula went to the same school as Jeff and they were both Dodger fans. ?There wasn’t an instant connection, but over a period of time the two became close.
Then, on Christmas morning 2008, Jeff wrapped an engagement ring in a big box and put it under his aunt’s Christmas tree. It was Paula’s first time celebrating Christmas, ?and when she unwrapped the gift, she thought she found an empty box. In a romantic gesture, Jeff got down on one knee and asked Paula to marry him. She of course said yes and the two just sat and hugged each other that morning.
On May 30, 2010, Paula and Jeff will exchange marriage vows before all of their family and friends.
