Day one is winding down of the 140 Characters Conference held at the 92nd Street Y in New York city.
It was an exciting day which started with Miss America, Caressa Cameron introducing conference creator Jeff Pulver.
The theme for the twitter conference is the state of now. We heard from Donny Deutsch, Ivanka Trump, and Ann Curry, to name a few
Wine Library TV’s Gary Vaynerchuk said this would be his last live presentation. His last words on the?#140conf stage were “I hope to engage with every single one of you before I die.” Gary, please don’t go away. You have been an inspiration to those who tweet and video bloggers around the world.
MC Hammer truly stole the stage today. He talked about how he was an early adopter of the Web 1.0 and Web 2.0 worlds and uses twitter very strategically. He also said he didn’t like “ghost tweeters” and blocks people with negativity online and offline.
After a brief stop to the conference party tonight, I left early to get a good night’s sleep.
On Wednesday, day two will begin with two panels bright and early and then I will be making my appearance on stage along with Your Tango’s Tom Miller (best known as Tomfoolery) at 8:45am.
