In honor of the 90th anniversary of The Assistance League of Southern California, The Mannequins once again put on a lovely luncheon and fashion show at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Prior to the 2009 Eve Awards ceremony, stylish women flocked to the boutique filled with colorful items. The most popular booth was BorrowedBling.com, a company that lets you buy or borrow jewelry and accessories online. Their tagline is…..Your Shopping Fantasy Come True…. They were selling copies of beautiful costume diamond jewelry set in sterling silver. Most of us could not tell the difference from the real thing. In this economy, their business is booming. 
Also on hand were ?beautiful purses of Jamah worn by many celebrities.
Master of Ceremonies, Fritz Coleman walked down the runway like a fashion model and was full of jokes. He’s the local weatherman for channel 4 news, but is also a stand-up comic. ?He commented that the crowd was on their own economic stimulus package and even suggested auctioning off the chandelier in the Crystal Ballroom. He added, “If you can dress well and give away a lot, it’s a 1:1 punch.” ?Coleman auctioned off a ten day stay in a 9 bedroom villa in Tuscany.
The highlight was the runway show with The Mannequins modeling vintage designs and Mon Atelier couture provided the exquisite gowns for the finale from their couture collection.?
