Cyber Dating Tip of the Week

After creating your irresistible online dating profile, you might find that keeping tabs on your emails and responses can feel like a full time job. Although it’s not a class project or a thesis, you still need to have good organizational skills to successfully manage your responses. My dating advice is to be organized. I recommend using an excel spreadsheet or a notebook for this task.

When your Inbox is overflowing with suitors, you can then carefully look at the different options on a single page and start the communication process. Some important categories would include:

  • Screen Name
  • Age
  • Date of Contact
  • Date of Response
  • City
  • Weight/height
  • Phone Number
  • Email

Writing back on a timely fashion will help make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to meet that special one online. I recommend color coding your responses. Highlight your first choices in one color, and select another color for those you have spoken to. The squeaky deal does get the wheel, so don’t let this project go on the back burner.

If it sounds too overwhelming, ask yourself how you would organize job prospects with your perfect resume. Your personal life should deserve even more attention than your job hunt.
