Please join me for a wonderful weekend of literary fun at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, in association with UCLA on April 24-25, 2009.

The two day festival features hundreds of authors and is a free event on the UCLA campus for the whole family to enjoy.

I will be signing copies of my new internet dating memoir, The Perils of Cyber-Dating: Confessions of a Hopeful Romantic Looking for Love Online?on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the Authors’ Co-op booth #610 (section F) from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm.

I will be joined by talented authors including, Christine Alexanians, Linda Ballou, Janet Goliger, Lynn B. Goodwin, Carolyn Howard-Johnson, Pamela Kelly, Anne Megowan, Marilyn Meredith, Linda Overman, and Loren Woodson.


The Perils of Cyber-Dating: Confessions of a Hopeful Romantic Looking for Love Online is a romantic tell-all memoir spanning over 250 online dates in almost 15 years. The book is filled with heartfelt, witty, and hilarious stories. Julie Spira, a pioneer in the Internet industry, became the first on her block to post an online dating profile. You will follow her journey as she skillfully navigates the web, hoping to replace what she once thought was the love of her life with a new Internet mate.


Julie Spira is an author, entrepreneur, radio show host, and cyber-dating expert. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Television-Radio from the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College.

Spira empowers singles on the dating scene to try online dating. She is the host of the radio show, “Ask the Cyber-Dating Expert” heard on Saturdays at 11 AM Pacific Time and has been a featured expert guest on several national television and radio shows. ?Visit her at
