Signs of a Pick Up Artist

Signs of a Pick Up ArtistHow do you know if your date is genuine or smooth operator?

Did you know there are actual courses guys take to become a pick up artist?

The acronym is PUA and it’s more widespread than you think.

In this episode of聽 YourTango Quickie series, I talk about the signs of a pick up artist.

Do you recognize any of these traits with the men you are dating?

1. He’s a smooth operator.

2. He’s a sexy and elusive guy.

3. He’s not always available.

4. He may rub the lower part of your back at the movies, but not take it further.

5. He’ll whisper sweet nothings in your ear in a low seductive voice.

6. He’ll wear something goofy like a hat to be the center of attention.

7. He’ll exclude you from the conversation with your girlfriends.

8. He’ll mirror everything in your online dating profile to share your dreams and passions.

9. He’s good and strategic and knows how to take a woman to bed.

10. He’ll become your instant dream man, but will disappear once the chase is over.

Have you ever dated a PUA? Your comments are welcome.

  1. Julie, Julie, Julie – I resemble that remark! (feigned outrage)

Seriously, there is nothing wrong with learning how to enhance one’s dating skills in order to find true love – after all, isn’t that what you teach? I believe the disconnect in your message (at least from my perspective) is the intentions of the person who is using learned skills to find their best love match.

If they are out to just bed someone and move on – then yes – I totally agree with you. That is devious, duplicitous and deceitful, and should I add – not nice?

They should be up front if that’s their purpose, but of course we should also recognize that women also use their feminine wiles to pursue what’s in their best interest.

Men don’t have a monopoly when it comes to using our wit to woo. I welcome the opportunity to share our passion for this subject should you be so inclined. Perhaps we should collaborate on a joint venture to further enlighten all of our followers. Feel free to contact me – you know how to find me 馃槈
