On Saturday night of Food & Wine Magazine’s four-day Taste of Beverly Hills extravaganza held on Labor Day weekend, it was designated as Date Night. Saturday night of the first-annual event drew a well-heeled crowd of food and wine enthusiasts to sample some of the finest tastings from the best restaurants in town, along with the chance to meet some of its most famous executive chefs.

Both daters and daters in waiting attended Date Night, with unlimited servings from restaurants including Katana serving custom made spicy tuna rolls; ?Mozza, with Nancy Silverton serving butter scotch buchino with a rosemary pine nut cookie; The Blvd at the Beverly Wishire with Head Chef Perfecto Rocher serving squid risotto; and Petrossian Caviar among others.
Foodies in Los Angeles had the opportunity to attend live cooking demos and mixology demos at the LG Stage and sip fine wines, champagne, and desserts galore.
The festivities started on 9.02.10, where Beverly Hills resident Larry King received the key to Beverly Hills from enthusiastic Mayor Jimmy Delshad. The opening night included a live performance from Grammy nominee, Natasha Bedingfield complete with a fireworks display.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Beverly Hills Education Foundation.
